Bulk commodity due diligence checklist.

Use this before an LOI, offer, SPA or named introduction. It is a screening tool, not legal, bank, sanctions or inspection advice.

Four gates · sixteen checks

Mark only what the evidence supports

1. Counterparty identity

Exact legal name and jurisdiction
Registration number and current registry status
Business address, domain and named signatory
Role: buyer, producer, title holder, reseller or authorized representative

2. Commercial requirement

Commodity, grade, form and complete specification
Trial and term quantity with tolerance
Packing, destination, terminal context and delivery window
Incoterm, named place, currency and quotation validity

3. Authority and product control

Current authority from the named principal
Origin and producing facility
Allocation, inventory or production route appropriate to the stage
Representative specification and recent lot-linked COA when available

4. Payment and execution

Applicant, beneficiary and payee names align with the contracts
Payment instrument and issuing-bank standard are stated
Inspection, document and claims sequence is coherent
No advance fee is paid outside a verified written agreement

Stop conditions

Pause when the legal party is unclear, the authority chain cannot be explained, the payee is unrelated, the price has no basis or validity, or someone demands an advance fee before a verifiable contract and bank review.
